After the Marathon
I want to thank all of you for coming to the DC Tango Marathon. I hope you had fun dancing and enjoyed all the wonderful teachers. I also want to thank all the volunteers that made the festival happen: Callie, John, Yuka, Jaime, Linda, Scott, Allison and Holland. They were all so wonderful I couldn't have made it without them. Also, want to thank Josh and Karen for the Beginners weekend.... we had about 60 new dancers on Saturday and Sunday.... The Djs were all so amazing and made you dance until 5 am everyday and the whole afternoons: Adam, Thorsten, Robin, Laura, Shorey, Yulia and Fredi. And of course the fabulous cast of teachers: Sigrid and Mazen, Korey and Mila, Tomas and Mylene and Daniel

There are still Tshirts for Sale, let me know if you want any and we'll figure out a way to send them to you

Please send me your evaluation of the festival: on the Djs, Teachers, Locations and especially on the new way of scheduling the classes, as a comment to this message or by sending an email to annesophie@le-tango.com.

Doubletree Washington hotel: information
Doubletree Washington is $132/night pre-paid (rising) for Fri-Sun nights.

Priceline bids for a 3 star hotel in the #9 area appear to be reasonably succesful around the $60 price point.

Entry for February 11, 2008
Here is some info on the Hotels around Trinity College.

Holiday Inn on the Hill is $162 per night - that was the lowest I could find. Many of the other hotels mentioned on the website are around $200+ per night.

Hotwire.com; for a 3 star hotel on Capital Hill for $124 per night. Of course, Hotwire does not give the name of the hotel until you reserve it, but it's worth the try.

4) For the best online prices people can go to www.Lindabruce.WorldVentures.com and look up a particular hotel and get the very best online price. The price quoted is for the entire stay (not per night). Try it out for yourself.
